Jonathan & Missy Copeland

In 2004 both Jonathan and Missy felt a desire to draw closer to the Lord and began to seek after His will for their lives. Because they had been raised in different faith traditions, they began to visit churches, read the Bible, discuss doctrine, and pray. The Lord miraculously revealed to each of them the truths concerning baptism in Jesus Name and the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Before the close of 2004, both Jonathan and Missy repented of their sins, were baptized in Jesus’ Name, and received the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in a language they had never learned (Acts 2:38).

Almost immediately after being born again of the water and Spirit (John 3:5), the Lord began to place a desire to start a new work into the heart of the young couple. Jonathan acknowledged the call of God and obtained his ministerial license with the United Pentecostal Church, Inc. The Lord confirmed in the heart of their pastor the need for a new church in the city of Bremen, and with his blessing, they launched The Sanctuary.

Jonathan and Missy are both passionate about reaching people with the truth of the Bible standard of New Testament salvation and believe that the Lord has a great people in the city of Bremen, the county of Haralson, and throughout the West Georgia community.
